Pattern of Paper
SSC 10+2 examination consist two parts: (1. Written exam 2.Skill test)
Part I:
fist part written exam paper will divide in four sections and each section 50 objective type question of 50 marks with 0.25 Negative Marking.
A. General Intelligence (50 questions/50 marks)
This section's questions will be both verbal and non-verbal type, Symbolic Operations, Symbolic/Number Analogy, including those on Semantic Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Symbolic/Number Classification, Drawing inferences, Space Orientation, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Figural Classification, Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding, Figural Pattern - folding and completion, Number Series, Semantic Series, Embedded figures, Critical Thinking, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, Coding and De-coding.
B. English Knowledge (50 questions/50 marks)
This section's questions will be include Spot the Error, Antonyms, Spellings/Detecting Miss-spelt words, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Idioms & Phrases, Improvement of Sentences, One Word Substitution, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Close Passage and Comprehension Passages, Conversion into Direct/Indirect Narration, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage.
C. Quantitative Aptitude question - Basic Arithmetic Skill (50 questions/50 Marks)
This section's questions will be include:
1. ARITHMETIC - Computation of Whole Number, Number Systems, Decimal and Fractions, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Relationship in numbers, Percentages, Square roots, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Profit and Loss, Interest (Simple and Compound), Discount, Mixture and Allegation Time and distance,Time and work, Partnership Business..
2. ALGEBRA: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surd and Graphs of Linear Equations.
3. GEOMETRY: Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Familiarity with elementary, Congruence and similarity of triangles, geometric figures and facts, angles subtended by chords of a circle, tangents, common tangents to two or more circles and Circle and its chords, .
4. MENSURATION: Quadrilaterals, Triangle, Regular Polygons, Right Circular Cone, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, square Base or Regular Right Pyramid with triangular.
5. TRIGONOMETRY: Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometry, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities
6. STATISTICAL CHARTS: Histogram, Use of Tables and Graphs, Frequency polygon, , Pie-chart, Bar-diagram.
D. General Awareness (50 questions/marks)
The questions will be come to test the candidates' general knowledge of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions are also come to test candidates' knowledge of current events and are of everyday observation and experience. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Geography, scientific research, Culture, Economic Scene and General Policy.
Part II
For Lower Division Clerk: The Candidates will be required to complete the typing test in Hindi or in English as specified at the time of application. candidate needs to have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.
After passed in the skill test, candidates will be appointed according to the merit list. The only candidates who clear the written test (based on the cut off set by the Commission) will be called to attempt the skill test.
